Mountain landscapes never cease to amaze me but our bride and her gown were just as stunning. The beautiful lace dress has now been down the aisle through three generations, having been worn by Cate's mother and grandmother before her.

We arrived early for the session only to find Cate, along with her sisters and mother, seated on a large blanket with a picnic feast spread out around them. They had decided to take full advantage of the views and a day trip into the blue ridge mountains with us. It set the mood for a special shoot, casually picking spots on the mountainside as we waited for the colors to spread across the sky at sunset.
